Sam Kazemian

Co-Founder & President, Brainfund

Sam Hamidi-Kazemian is an American software engineer and entrepreneur. He is a Co-Founder of Brainfund where he also serves as President.

Sam is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles where he holds a double-major degree in neuroscience and philosophy. It was at UCLA in 2014 that he also co-founded online encyclopedia IQ.wiki (Formerly known as Everipedia).

Sam is most well known for being the founder of Frax Finance, which he began development of in 2019. Frax is a decentralized finance platform that provides lending services and builds stablecoin infrastructure. In 2023, Forbes listed Kazemian in their 30 Under 30 in finance for founding Frax, citing the project’s notable growth with a market value over $1 billion and generating $83 million in revenue in 2021.
